GCCA membership in Europe spans temperature-controlled warehouse members with a total capacity of over 25 million cubic meters, refrigerated transportation companies, controlled-environment building companies as well as abroad range of cold chain equipment suppliers and other vendors across 22 countries.

 

Leadership

The European Logistics Council is the leadership group advocating for the interests of GCCA’s European membership community, replacing the former “GCCA European Advisory Council”. Composed of GCCA temperature-controlled warehousing and transportation members, the Council contribute their experience, influence, and vision to promote cold chain overall, to enhance industry services and resources, and to help advance the sector. 2021 Priorities

The European Logistics Council has set a number of priorities on which GCCA Europe will focus efforts in 2021. These include:

  • Carbon footprint reduction and climate change targets;
  • Cold storage insurance;
  • Labour and talent development;
  • Market data.

GCCA has supported a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project in Georgia since 2013, working in partnership with Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), an international non-profit organization that works to stimulate economic growth, improve livelihood, and support agricultural development. The project supports businesses who collect and store fruits and vegetables, and has recently relied on GCCA to locate experts in areas such as grape storage, apple storage, and freezing-drying production.
